Some 60% Malaysians affected by pay cuts, reduced work hours

ABOUT 60% of Malaysians have been affected by pay cuts, reduced working hours and a difficult job search as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to a recent survey by LinkedIn Corp.

The study found that this has likely led to a less optimistic economic outlook among Malaysians, with only one in five (21%) expecting the economy to improve over the next six months, and only 19% expecting their financial situation to be better over the same period.
